Semyon Sluchevsky: "The sadness is enormous..."

Journalist Semyon Sluchevsky commented on the news of the death of Artem Frankov, editor-in-chief of Football magazine.

"Artem Frankov has passed away... We have done so much together, even made films, television or online studio programmes, and publications...

And even more has not been done. The three of us, Artem and Volodymyr Kuleba and I, conceived a new book about the Great Man from the world of our favourite game, and we wanted this book to contain something that no one had ever written before, facts and impressions that only each of us knew and experienced only ourselves... The three of us were not destined to finish it. But Volodya and I, of course, will finish it. We have no right not to... At least for the sake of Artem's memory...

In recent days, in the evenings, I called Katya, Artem's wife, and she told me about his condition. The last contact with her was the night before yesterday, her voice and her words gave me a little hope... so yesterday, about 5 hours ago, I decided not to disturb her, I was ashamed to pull her every night when her nerves were already on edge - her husband was in the cardiology intensive care unit
