Former Chelsea captain John Terry has admitted what he regrets about his playing career.
"I absolutely could not imagine that De Bruyne and Salah would become world stars. This is my only disappointment as Chelsea captain. Over the years, I've mellowed, but when these guys were in the team, I was very disciplined and strict. They probably needed a shoulder to lean on and help them adapt to the team.
I am disappointed in myself as a captain and I regret it. At the time, I could not have imagined that they would reach this level," Terry said on The Obi One Podcast.
It will be recalled that both Salah and De Bruyne had to leave Stamford Bridge to improve their careers.
