It is worth noting that in the previous rounds, the White and Blues scored 26 points and ranked third in the standings. Shakhtar topped the standings with 28 points, but the Miners played one less game. So the reporting match promised to be interesting and uncompromising.
The first half ended without a goal, while Pashko scored in the second half, as well as Kremchanin, who set the final score in the second half.
Dynamo made a confident start to the match and started using pressure from the first minutes. Osipenko set up Ponomarenko with a good pass, but his shot was blocked by the opponents. The hosts threatened the opposition's goal several more times after standard set pieces - corners and free kicks - but they did not bring Dynamo any success. Kyiv had much more initiative, and soon Ponomarenko took another free kick, but the ball flew over the top.
Shakhtar's free-kick turned out to be even more dangerous: after a cross from the left, goalkeeper Surkis could only get the ball with a leap of his fingertips. Once again, Vyacheslav saved the ball after an opponent's long-range shot from outside the penalty area. Pashko almost scored at the opposite goal after a free-kick by Kremchanin, but his shot was blocked. With that, the teams went to the break.
Shortly after the start of the second half, Dynamo managed to convert one of their attacks into a goal: Gusev passed to Salenko on the right flank, who shot to the far post, where Pashko was able to push the ball into the net. The hosts continued to have the upper hand, and the visitors occasionally made dangerous attacks. During one of them, Surkis had to help his team out again, as he reacted in time to an opponent's shot from outside the penalty area. In response, Pashko almost scored for the second time, trying to take advantage of Salenko's pass, but miraculously sent the ball past the far post from a good position.
In general, the teams took turns possessing the ball, intercepting it from each other, fought a lot, so dangerous moments at both goals did not arise very often. In one of them, Surkis again deserved applause for his reaction to Smetana's free kick. Looking ahead, we note that in stoppage time, Vyacheslav "pulled" the same Smetana's free-kick, knocking the ball out from under the crossbar.
Towards the end of the match, passions on the pitch escalated, resulting in collisions and warnings. One of them turned out to be the second for Shakhtar's Udod, so the visitors were left in the minority. The last minutes of the match were Dynamo's, as Ponomarenko's low shot was saved by Shakhtar goalkeeper Kravets. And in stoppage time, he was powerless after Kremchanin's shot, which was picked up in the opponent's penalty area and hit the far corner of the goal - 2-0.
It should be noted that after this victory, Dynamo U-19 took first place in the standings.
