Serhiy Rebrov: "Shakhtar won, but I am now thinking only about the next game of the Ukraine national team"

Head coach of the Ukraine national team Serhiy Rebrov shared his impressions of the match of the 13th round of the Ukrainian championship Dynamo vs Shakhtar (0:1) in an interview with Profutbol Digital.

It was a very important game for both teams. Shakhtar won, but now I am only thinking about the next game of the national team.

I remember that when Dynamo and Shakhtar play, they are always principal games, regardless of the tournament. That is why there was a lot of struggle. It was a very interesting match. "Dynamo vs Shakhtar are the matches when all the players are determined to fight and win.

I watched the game with a different eye, I looked at the candidates for the national team. I liked the game, I saw how both teams tried to take points.

- Everyone is waiting for the application of the national team. Did it depend on this match?

- No, absolutely not.

- Is it already formed?

- When we formed the application last time, three players fell out. So now it is important that no one is injured. With Italy it will be a completely different game than with North Macedonia and Malta. All the candidates will be set for this game.

- Will there be any surprises in the squad?

- We don't have any surprises. If we call up a new player, is it a surprise? This player deserves a call-up.

I am grateful to the youth team, which gives a lot of candidates who deserve a call-up to the national team. We are looking at all the players. I am glad that there are Spanish specialists who help us and really work. I am glad that we are working together.

- Your words for the fans before the final with Italy?

- It's not a final. It's a game like the others. At the beginning of the qualifiers they said we have no chances, but now we have chances even in the last game. So I only wish that the fans support us, believe in us. We will do our best.
