The U-17 youth team (players not older than 2007) took part in the Euro 2024 qualifying round in October.
In Group 3, the Blue and Yellows first shared the points with the Finns (2:2), then defeated the hosts from Liechtenstein 7-0. In the final match, Volodymyr Yezerskyi's men lost to Germany (0:1) and eventually finished third in the quartet. However, at the end of the mini-tournament, the Ukrainians retained their chances of getting a ticket to the elite qualifying round, as not only the top two teams in each group but also the top five teams out of 13 that took third place get there.
In the competition of the third teams, the results of the matches against the first and second teams of the group are taken into account. Thus, Ukraine had one gold point and a goal difference of 2-3.
Today, after the matches in Group 9, it became known that our national team had won a ticket to the next stage of the competition.
