Lechia midfielder Maksim Khlan spoke about other career options he had before.
- Did you have any offers from Dynamo or Shakhtar?
- There were always offers from both teams, when I played in the academy, when I was in the youth team. They offered, and officially sent a request, but I was focused on a different path, I wanted to play abroad. I had examples of Zorya players who had left the club before.
- How did you end up in Gdansk, in Lechia?
- As soon as I terminated my contract with Zorya, I received an offer from Gdansk. I started communicating. We talked for two months. It took a long time because I don't have an agent and for some reason, after my previous experience, I was scared to sign contracts, especially long-term ones. I hesitated, I wanted to rest, I was stressed. I took a break, made up my mind and went to Lechia.
- Did you have any offers from other clubs?
- There were two offers from Denmark and Spain, but the Poles were more definite and had a specific offer. And the contact was easier.
- If there was a specific offer from Dynamo and Shakhtar, in which club's uniform would we see you?
- It's hard to say. But I am impressed by Shakhtar's tactics, they play intense and attacking football, and I like that. There are always high goals, and I would like to play in such a team.
