Saudi Arabia's Al Ittihad has officially announced the termination of its contract with head coach Nuno Espirito Santo.
This decision was made by the management after the defeat in the Asian Champions League match against Iraqi club Al-Qua Al-Jawiya (0:2). Nuno Espirito Santo, 49, took over at Al Ittihad in July 2022. With the team, he became the champion of the Saudi Professional League in the 2022/2023 season and the winner of the country's Super Cup.
Assistant head coach Hassan Khalifa will take charge of preparing the team for the next match.
