Former Dynamo and Shakhtar defender Volodymyr Yezersky shared his prediction for the Conference League match between Zorya and Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Vladimir Yezersky (photo: parimatch.com)- I can't say that Zorya are clear favourites for the game, but the Ukrainian team has more advantages: they have considerable experience of playing in European cups in recent years, the Luhansk side will play, albeit formally, on their home pitch, which they should have already got used to, adapted to, and most importantly - Zorya are in tone now, they have constant game practice in official matches.
"Maccabi" played its last match on 5 October, that is more than a month ago, they should be taken warm, as they say. Nobody knows what the team from Israel has been doing for over a month, or what functional state their players are in. >Except for their head coach, of course. But the fact that Maccabi did not play for more than a month because of the hostilities in the Middle East should not cool down Zorya players. They should be as focused and concentrated as possible. Kryventsov should set the team up for a difficult game.
I don't like to be a prognosticator, but... In my opinion, Zorya will win minimally. As a rule, the Luhansk team has its moments, creates and realises them, - said the expert.
