Lucescu has not ruled out his job in Russia

Former Dynamo Kyiv head coach Mircea Lucescu, who so reverently and repeatedly voiced his worries about the war that Russia has been waging against Ukraine for almost two years, about the deprivation and grief of Ukrainians, has made it clear that he does not rule out his work in the aggressor country.

"Now I am at home, in Bucharest. I want to thank everyone who helped me. It is extremely difficult to play football without fans, financial support, sponsors, advertising. To play only with youngsters from the academy.... In any case, I tried to keep football in my life. This is the most important thing even in such a difficult situation.

Is it possible to see me in Russia now? It's only been a short time since I left the club, in a month the situation with the future will be clearer. I can say that I respect all countries.

I hope that soon everything will be over, Ukraine will play with fans and Russia will return to playing in Europe, in general, everything will come back to normal," Lucescu said in an interview with Russian publication Sport-Express.
