Defender Micky Van de Ven and midfielder James Maddison will not play for Tottenham this calendar year. Both players were injured in the last round of the Premier League match against Chelsea (1:4).
"Mickey has a back thigh injury. We knew from the beginning that it was very serious. He will miss several months.
Maddison's injury is much worse than we thought. The next day, his condition was far from ideal, so we sent him for a check-up and now we're probably looking at the period after the New Year," Sky Sports quoted coach Angelos Postecoglou as saying.
