With minutes to go in the match, both teams were eager to get their goal. In the 79th minute, Lyon's N. Tagliafico received a yellow card, which further increased the heat of the match. Rennes also made one last substitution: K. Wuh came on in place of A. Guiri. After the final whistle "Lyon" came out victorious with the score 1:0. This match demonstrated Lyon's ability to overcome difficulties and utilise their opportunities. Rennes, despite playing with ten men for most of the match, put in a lot of effort, but ultimately lost.
