Well-known journalist Mykola Nesenyuk commented on Dynamo Kyiv's 2-0 victory over Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih in yesterday's match of the 14th round of the Ukrainian championship.

I wrote that thanks to coach Vernydub, who has moulded the team from little-known and unwanted players, Kryvbas can claim the role of leader of the Ukrainian championship, and under certain conditions, it can win the championship. In the end, I suggested that only one team is capable of stopping Kryvbas, and that team is not Shakhtar.
And so it happened - until this weekend, Kryvbas was in first place, and yesterday it was stopped by Dynamo. Let me try to explain what my prediction of almost two months ago was based on.
Nothing unexpected - it should have been understood that despite the outstanding talent of coach Vernydub, there is such a thing as the level of players, which is objectively lower than the level of Dynamo's players. Why didn't I point to Dynamo directly then, but only hinted at it? Because at that time Dynamo were going through a game crisis - the players no longer understood the coach and vice versa. Because in fact, Kyiv lost not to Chornomorets, Polissia, Dnipro and Shakhtar - they lost to themselves!
So once again, I would like to express my gratitude to coach Lucescu, who did leave Dynamo. And not because he was worried about the team, which had dropped to ninth place, but because Lucescu's own prestige was falling with each defeat of Dynamo and the further career he wanted to continue was in jeopardy.
Thus, after Lucescu's wise move in the game against Kryvbas, the team should have simply let things go - everything fell into place! And not because coach Shovkovskyi is better than coach Vernydub, but because Dynamo's players are stronger. They just need to be left alone, and then the team will be able to win not only against Kryvbas, but also against everyone else, including the "Barcelona winners".
Does this mean that Kryvbas has lost its chances of winning high places? Not at all! They were just stopped on their long tournament journey. And the "Vernydub test" will not be easy for anyone!" Neseniuk wrote on his Facebook page.
