The press office of Chornomorets issued a statement on its official Facebook page regarding arbitration in the Ukrainian championship.
"Our football, especially club football, cannot be considered one hundred per cent healthy. And it's not just that the war is preventing football from developing. There are no excuses for the constant scandals in domestic football, which are associated with low qualifications and sometimes outright bias of referees. The reviews of each round in various publications have long since begun not with the best goals, assists or tactical coaching moves. It starts with a list of refereeing mistakes.
"Chornomorets has never been involved in compiling alternative tables. But everything has its limits. After 14 rounds, we have the following picture: 5 out of 6 defeats in the 23/24 season were accompanied by, to put it mildly, ambiguous decisions by the refereeing teams. The first round is not over yet, and Chornomorets have already collected a bouquet of
- no penalties awarded to the opponent
- fictitious red cards (4 out of 5)
- red cards not shown to players of the opposing team
And that's just what was obvious to everyone and didn't require too much expert assessment. If you play 11-on-15 or 10-on-15 all the time, you can't last long," the statement said.
