Gabriel Jesus joins Brazilian national team despite knee injury

Arsenal London striker Gabriel Jesus has joined the Brazilian national team to take part in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers despite suffering a hamstring injury.

According to The Standard, the 26-year-old has travelled to the national team's location despite having missed the last few weeks due to injury. The Brazilian was injured during the Champions League away match against Sevilla on 24 October. It was later reported that the forward would need at least three to four weeks to fully recover before returning to the field.

Jesus is to be examined by the national team's medical staff, after which they will make a final decision on the player's possible appearance. "The Selecao will face Colombia on 17 November, and five days later they will play world champions Argentina.
