Oleg Kuznetsov's wards are playing in Group 7 together with the teams of Slovakia, Kosovo and Malta. The mini-tournament will take place until 21 November in the Maltese city of Ta' Qali (Centenary Stadium). It was the hosts that our boys met today.
The Ukrainians opened the scoring in the 17th minute - Manuilov brilliantly took a free kick from the left flank and sent the ball into the net. Later, Tutierov could have doubled the advantage of the blue and yellows, but the Maltese goalkeeper helped his team out.

In the 54th minute, Ponomarenko closed Tuterov's shot, but missed from a deadly position. Shortly afterwards, the hosts managed to get back into the game - after Barbara's corner kick, Ponomarenko cut the ball into his own net.

However, in the 71st minute, Ponomarenko forced Camilleri to capitulate for the second time with a direct free kick with a ricochet from Attard. The Maltese responded with a long-range shot by Barbara, which Fesyuk managed, and a shot over the crossbar by Kayden Fenech was also dangerous.

And in the 88th minute, the Ukrainians scored for the third time - Melnychenko intercepted the ball, broke through on the right flank and passed to Tuterov, who cleared the ball and hit the right corner. Later, the hosts created several chances, but in the end, Oleg Kuznetsov's men brought the game to victory - 3: 1.
