Ukraine's national team continues to work in Gdansk: fitness and training ahead of sparring with Lechia

The national team of Ukraine continues in Gdansk to prepare for the final match of the Euro 2024 qualifying cycle against Italy, which will take place next Monday in Leverkusen, Germany. The national team started the morning of the third day of the training camp with a fitness session.

Physical training coach Vitaliy Kulyba offered a set of exercises for muscle flexibility and joint mobility, as well as for activating the body's stabilising muscles. All this work is necessary both for injury prevention and for physical preparation for the evening training.

In fact, Wednesday's game session was the first one at the training camp in which all the players called up to the national team were able to take part at the same time, as during the previous training sessions the players worked in different groups to level up their functional condition.

Yesterday, after jogging and warming up, the team practised passing with shots on goal. There were various combinations with the ball being delivered to the attacking end zone.

The main part of the training was tactical, with the development of a game plan for the confrontation with Italy. It is in the game series with a tactical bias that Serhii Rebrov and his coaching staff are working on preparing for the decisive match.

The training process will continue with today's sparring match with Lechia Gdansk, which will take place at the city arena. This meeting has a purely preparatory status, and therefore will take place behind closed doors.
