Former Dynamo midfielder Dmytro Mykhailenko shared his expectations from the Euro 2024 qualifying match with Italy with the UPL TV telegram channel.

- Given the first meeting with the Italians, what should our main team improve?
- Each player must play one of his best games. And from there, the team must play its best game in this cycle. The recipe is simple: the reliability of the game in defence in general, not to let the Italians create chances. After all, there is no doubt about our attacking potential.
- Is there anything of concern in the context of the national team?
- Our guys who play abroad are in great shape, score goals, get a lot of playing time, so their psychology is fine. Those who play in Ukraine also have no problems. So I wouldn't look for things that could distract us now. Everything is fine, everyone is 100% ready to solve problems.
- Is the starting line-up predictable or are there any positions where there may be surprises?
- I think everything will be very close to how we played in the last games. But we will add Tsygankov, who missed the matches in October due to injury.
- Which confrontations on the pitch will be decisive?
- In the first game with Italy, it is mentioned that the Zagnolo-Mykolenko confrontation was striking. But it seems that Mykolenko was not in the best condition then. There were many, many threats coming from him. And it was a key moment not in our favour. I hope we can avoid this. Now the Italians, in my opinion, have no superstars, but they are very strong due to teamwork. There is Barella, but he is not a player who has a big impact on the result, although he has a big impact on the game.
- Is there a problem with the fact that we are forced to play a sparring match with Lechia?
- As far as I understand, we could not help but play this match. But I don't see any tragedy in this. It will be a training game, in which those guys who play less can play.
