Ukraine midfielder Oleksandr Pikhalenok shared his impressions of the control match with Polish Lechia (2:0), which took place yesterday in Gdansk.
"The weather was not very good, of course. Heavy rain affected the quality of the pitch - it was very heavy. Because of that, not everything worked out for us. But anyway, we need to play our combinations. We managed to do that today. But we will still analyse our actions and mistakes at the theoretical session. This match is part of our preparation for the match with Italy. We need to approach this match as ready as possible. Not only tactically, but also physically.
My goal? In this episode, the Lechia goalkeeper kicked the ball in front of him, and I was the first to get there. I know Polish goalkeeper Bogdan Sarnavskiy well from Dnipro-1. Probably, he just made me a present. (Laughs)," Pikhalenok said in a commentary to the UAF press service.
