Last Saturday, the Ukrainian national team completed its preparation programme in Gdansk for the Euro 2024 qualifying match against Italy, which will take place next Monday in Leverkusen, Germany.
The national team of Ukraine began the final day of training in Poland with a fitness session. Yesterday's training session on a sticky wet lawn, with the first snow and low temperatures, was enough physical activity. So today the guys had the opportunity to work out in the gym.
Vitaliy Kulyba, the physical training coach, divided the training into three stages: stretching, exercise bike and tennisball. Thus, groups of players changed each other at appropriate intervals.
In the afternoon, the Blue and Yellows left the Hotel Grano, which had been their residence since Monday, and headed to the airport. The flight to Cologne lasted an hour and a half. After that, the Ukrainians travelled another 25 km by bus and arrived at the hotel located directly at the BayArena stadium at 19:00. It is here that the decisive Euro 2024 qualifying match between Ukraine and Italy will take place on 20 November.
The day before, the national team of Ukraine will hold an official training session at the BayArena (the first 15 minutes will be open to the media). Half an hour before that, the national team's head coach Serhii Rebrov and one of the Blue and Yellows players will meet with the media in a press conference format.
