Court opens bankruptcy proceedings against Veres

On Monday, 20 November, the Economic Court of Rivne Oblast opened bankruptcy proceedings against PJSC Rivne People's Club Veres. This is reported on the website of the Supreme Court.

In 2021, Veres was the first professional football club in Ukraine to conduct an initial public offering, raising UAH 50 million on the PFTS exchange.

In early November 2023, Construction Firm Bazysprombud LLC filed a petition with the Rivne Oblast Commercial Court to open bankruptcy proceedings against Veres.

Bazysprombud is the general contractor for the construction of the Veres training base. In 2021, the company was chosen to build two full-size fields with artificial and natural turf in Rivne, on the site between Zakhystnykiv Mariupolu Street and the Hill of Glory.

Currently, Veres has two training pitches on Zakhystnykiv Mariupol Street, but the club has also talked about plans to build a three-storey multifunctional base for the first and youth teams, similar to Real Madrid's (but on a smaller scale).

Veres president Ivan Nadein said that the ground floor of the base will have locker rooms, a spa area, a gym, a sports hall, a dining room, and a kitchen. The second floor will be residential, and the third floor will have an event hall, a club office and terraces for watching matches on the club's fields. The possibility of building a third pitch with natural turf and heating is also being considered.
