Czech national team head coach Jaroslav Šilhavy resigned after the final Euro 2024 qualifying match against Moldova (3-0). The victory allowed the Czech team to take second place in the group and get a direct ticket.
"I would like to thank the guys for the way they played the match after all the recent events. We have achieved our goal of qualifying for the European Championships.
Despite the success, we decided before the match that we would not continue our cooperation. I informed the president of the Czech Football Federation Petr Fochek about this," the Czech Football Federation press service quoted Šilhava as saying.

В оригіналі сказано, що він ще перед матчем вирішив відмовитись продовжувати працювати в збірній, але хотів дійти до кінця відбір, а потім повідомив керівництво і команду.
P S. Хоча він виводив двічі команду на євро, але останнім часом вболівальники дуже критикували через якість гри і результати.
