Rukh midfielder Ilya Kvasnytsia shared his expectations for the Ukrainian league match against Dynamo.
"The Ukrainian youth team is in a great mood because we have won 5 out of 5 Euro qualifying matches. Of course, these were difficult games. In the match against Azerbaijan, for example, the opponent defended the entire match - we could not even escape to the counterattack because we attacked only positively. Whereas before that, Ukraine had played against Luxembourg and they were trying to attack and try to cover us. As a result, there were zones, which our team took advantage of.
Playing for the U-21 national team is an interesting experience. These past few months have gone very well for us. Many players played for the national team for the first time in this age group. We represent different clubs, but we are already used to being one team in the national team. We've already had 3 training camps, played 5 matches, and the atmosphere in the national team is getting better and better every time.
Now my teammates and I from the U-21 national team have returned to Rukh and are preparing for the match against Dynamo. Playing against such an opponent is an additional motivation. Just like Shakhtar, we need to be in the right frame of mind for Dynamo and we want to make our opponents play the football we are used to. We will not sit on the defensive, but will try to show our best. However, Rukh takes Kyiv seriously and it will be an interesting match," Kvasnytsia was quoted as saying by Rukh's official website.
