The second half started with the desire of both teams to score a goal. On 59 minutes Monaco player V. Singo received a yellow card, which further inflamed the already tense atmosphere of the match.
Soon "Paris Saint-Germain" increased their advantage, when in the 70th minute O. Dembele put the ball into the net, increasing the score to 3:1 in favour of the home team. "Paris Saint-Germain continued to dominate the game and made two substitutions in the 72nd minute. G. Ramos came on in place of R. Kolo Mouani, and O. Dembele was replaced by B. Barkola. The substitutions paid off almost immediately when Vitigne scored a goal in the 72nd minute, further consolidating Paris Saint-Germain's lead - 4:1. "Monaco did not give up and tried their best to get back into the game. In the 75th minute F. Balogun scored a goal, reducing the deficit to 4:2. However, Paris Saint-Germain did not stop there. In the 90th minute, R. Kolo Muani scored his team's fifth goal and brought the game to victory. In the final minutes of the game, both teams made substitutions to freshen up their squads. At Monaco, M. Aklush came on in place of T. Minamino, M. Kamara came on in place of V. Ben Yedder, and in the 79th minute, K. Diatta came on in place of Wanderson. The last change in Paris Saint-Germain's line-up came in the 82nd minute when F. Ruiz replaced C. Soler.
