The substitutions paid off almost immediately when Vitigne scored a goal in the 72nd minute, further consolidating Paris Saint-Germain's lead - 4:1. "Monaco did not give up and tried their best to get back into the game. In the 75th minute F. Balogun scored a goal, reducing the deficit to 4:2. However, Paris Saint-Germain did not stop there. In the 90th minute, R. Kolo Muani scored his team's fifth goal and brought the game to victory. In the final minutes of the game, both teams made substitutions to freshen up their squads. At Monaco, M. Aklush came on in place of T. Minamino, M. Kamara came on in place of V. Ben Yedder, and in the 79th minute, K. Diatta came on in place of Wanderson. The last change in Paris Saint-Germain's line-up came in the 82nd minute when F. Ruiz replaced C. Soler.
