Acting head coach of Luhansk Zorya Yuriy Koval explained what he expects from his team's postponed match against Israeli Maccabi Tel Aviv in the group stage of the Conference League, which will take place in Belgrade today.
- I will start with the fact that, unfortunately, there is a war going on in Ukraine and Israel. Our countries are showing courage and fighting. I hope and see on the faces of the guys that they are ready to go on the field and fight. What will be the result, we do not know. Football is an unpredictable sport. But the fact that we will try to play using our strengths is a fact.
All games are key for us now - both in the Conference League and in the championship. The standings allow us to fight for the European Cup spring, and in the championship we need to climb higher. The place where we are now in the championship (14th - editor's note) is not comfortable for us, to put it mildly. This place does not correspond to the name of Zorya," Koval said at the pre-match press conference.
