Bayer Leverkusen head coach Xabi Alonso commented on the negative results of the German national team in 2023.
"In my opinion, playing only friendly matches is bad. Two years of friendly matches is not good for the mentality. They have strong players, a good coach, and a home European Championship.
I am sure that at Euro 2024 we will see a completely different team. Criticism of a coach is a normal thing in football. Nagelsmann is not new to this business, so it's not a problem. I expect Germany to have a strong tournament next year," Bayern & Germany quoted the Spanish specialist as saying on Twitter.
