Serie "D" club signed a Dynamo pupil

20-year-old Ukrainian midfielder Ilya Skrypnyk, who is a pupil of Dynamo Kyiv, will continue his career in Italy, at Serie D club Fossano from the city of the same name. The midfielder joined his new team in November as a free agent, signing a contract until the summer of 2024.

"I came here thanks to my agent. I liked the team immediately. I am grateful to Fossano and my new teammates because they treated me well from the first minutes of my stay here and helped me feel part of the team.

I also like the mentality of the team: the attitude to always win. I want to contribute to Fossano's success with goals, assists and everything I need to do. I am a midfielder, but I am ready to play wherever the coach puts me.

At Dynamo I played in the youth team. But it was really strong in its age category, and it allowed me to raise my professional level considerably. It was great to have the opportunity to participate in the UEFA Youth League and play against such teams as Bayern, Benfica, Barcelona and many others. I got a great experience, but still, adult football is completely different. At the same time, Italian and Ukrainian football are also very different.

I left Ukraine with the beginning of the war, when my life, like all Ukrainians, changed dramatically. I am in Italy for four or five months and I feel very comfortable here, I am trying to learn the language, but it is not easy (laughs). My parents lived in Italy for many years, and I always dreamed of coming here and playing in Serie A," Skrypnyk told La Fedelta about his move to Fossano.

We would like to add that in Dynamo's structure Skrypnyk played for children's teams, and then for youth teams - Dynamo U-17 and Dynamo U-19.
