Ukrainian midfielder of Italian side Empoli Viktor Kovalenko has spoken about his attitude towards Russian midfielder Alexei Miranchuk, who also plays in Serie A, for Atalanta.
"Is there a Russian Miranchuk playing in Serie A? I don't know how I would react if I saw a Russian on the pitch. I realise it's not the fault of the Russian players, but I don't like that they don't use their social media and their popularity to spread anti-war messages," Kovalenko told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
