In a tense encounter against Fiorentina, AC Milan claimed a 1-0 victory at the legendary Giuseppe Meazza stadium. Despite the tie, both teams showed great commitment and skill throughout the game. The first half started with both teams showing their skills in attack, but it was Milan who managed to turn the tide. In the 45th minute, the referee awarded a penalty to Milan after a foul in the box. Theo Hernandez stepped up and headed the ball into the net, giving his team the lead before the break. Just after the break, Fiorentina made a substitution, deciding to get back into the game. Arthur Melo was replaced by M. Lopez in an attempt to bring fresh energy into the midfield. Despite their best efforts, Fiorentina were unable to capitalise on their opportunities to level the score.
As time ran out, both teams made various substitutions in an attempt to change the dynamic of the game. In the 60th minute Christian Pulisic and Ross Barkley strengthened the attacking line, and in the 70th minute Fiorentina introduced L. Beltran and M. Nzola. As tension mounted, several players received yellow cards as they desperately fought to control the situation. In the 77th minute, Milan coach Stefano Pioli was cautioned as emotions ran high on the pitch. With minutes left in the match, both teams continued to make substitutions to seal the result. Fiorentina introduced A. Duncan and R. Sottila in the 81st minute, while Milan replaced Luka Jovic and Yunus Musa in the 83rd and 84th minutes respectively. In the final minutes of the game, the tempo increased and Milan made one last substitution, replacing Davide Calabria with A. Florenzi in the 90th minute. Fiorentina tried to get back on track with G. Bonaventura replacing K. Kouame in the 88th minute, but failed to equalise. The final whistle announced a 1-0 victory for AC Milan. Both teams showed great determination and skill throughout the match, but it was Milan who proved to be the stronger side in this encounter. This victory will give Milan confidence in their abilities and allow them to continue their fight in the fiercely competitive Serie A.
