Roma head coach Jose Mourinho has spoken about his connection with the club's fans.
"I am often asked about the best fan support I have had in my career. I've had many great fans at Inter, Real Madrid and Chelsea, but Roma are the best.
I ran to the Curva Sud sector twice. The first time was in my thousandth game, after El Shaarawy's goal against Sassuolo. I was afraid of losing that game... if you lose 300 or 500 games, then a week later you forget about it, but I will always remember the thousandth match. I couldn't lose the Roma-Sassuolo game. After the victory, I ran to the fans.
Another time it was in a match against Venice before our Conference League final in Tirana. I went up to them with the players and I wanted to take the microphone and say: "Let's conquer Tirana". They are great people," Mourinho said in an interview with TV7.
