The arrival of Cadever gave Lyon's attack pace and creativity, but Lille's defence remained unwavering. Despite Lyon's increased pressure, Lille managed to hold their ground. Lyon's frustration led to a series of penalties: in the 72nd minute, P. Akuoku and M. Balde received yellow cards. In the 80th minute Lyon made the last substitution: S. Diomande replaced D. Moreira. However, this substitution did not change the outcome of the match and Lille continued to dominate. In the final stages of the game, Lille made a number of substitutions in an attempt to maintain their advantage. In the 83rd minute J. David was replaced by R. Cabella, and in the same minute E. Jegrova replaced A. Ounas. The last substitution for Lille came in the 90th minute, with Y. Yazici replacing S. Umtiti. These late substitutions allowed Lille to strengthen their defence and keep a clean sheet. In general, Lille showed the highest level of play and proved that they are one of the best teams in Ligue 1. Lyon, although unable to turn the tide, showed determination and resilience throughout the match. This result will surely serve as motivation for Lyon to improve and rebuild in future encounters. Both teams showcased their talents and delighted the fans with a tense and competitive match. This match proves that Ligue 1 remains one of the most interesting and unpredictable leagues in European football.
