Ukrainian midfielder of Italian Genoa Ruslan Malinovskyi summarised the results of yesterday's match with Frosinone (1:2) in the 13th round of Serie A, in which he scored a spectacular goal.
"We had a chance to win this match, but just one episode changed everything. We played well, created a lot of chances and pressed well, but football is so structured that none of that guarantees success.
We hoped that the goal we conceded in the first half would be the only one and we did everything we could to not only equalise but also to win, but in the end we lost the game (Genoa conceded the decisive goal in the fourth minute of the second half - ed.).
We must analyse the mistakes we made and move forward. There are a lot of matches ahead, there will be no pauses for national team matches for a long time - these are good conditions to show good results. We have a strong team, it has everything to move forward successfully.
My goal? It was important. I always try to do my best to show my maximum. But without the points, my goal is worth nothing. There's nothing more to say. We should be angry after this match. I hope this offensive defeat will be a boost for us," TMW quoted Malinovskiy as saying.
