As the match progressed, the referee was increasingly busy, indicating the competitive nature of the encounter. As time ran out, both teams made a number of substitutions in search of a break. In the 76th minute, Torino introduced Y. Karamokha instead of V. Lazaro, while Bologna introduced R. Calafiori in place of K. Lykogiannis and N. Moro in place of G. Fabbian in the 81st minute. It seemed that the match would end 1-0 in Bologna's favour, but they sealed the victory in the final minutes. In the 90th minute J. Zirksee made the score 2-0 in favour of the hosts. However, the triumph was somewhat overshadowed as Bologna player D. Ndoye received a yellow card in added time. Overall, it was a tense game between Bologna and Torino. Bologna's late surge in the second half proved decisive and allowed them to win 2-0 in front of their fans at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara. This victory will undoubtedly boost Bologna's morale as they continue their Serie A run.
