Artem was definitely seen in the starting line-up. Therefore, there is reason to suspect that the injury was aggravated during the pre-game training, or even during the warm-up.
A calf muscle injury is one of the most unpleasant muscle injuries because of its anatomical structure (proximity to the "flounder" and Achilles tendon) and position (constantly down, which contributes to swelling), the muscle takes a long time to heal and often recurs.
There is no scientific evidence at hand, so I will allow myself to be guided by my own experience here, and calves are really a headache for sports doctors and physios.
It is not known what the extent of the injury is and whether the Achilles is involved, but if the muscle injury is confirmed, Artem will be out for at least 3-4 weeks.
I want to believe that the player was withdrawn from the match purely as a precaution and that it will end up being a spasm or overtraining, but the absence of the player from the application may indicate the worst.
