Russia's Akron (Togliatti) have sacked their head coach Evgeny Kaleshin for his remarks at a press conference in which he quite accurately outlined the abyss to which his entire under-country is flying.
"It's impossible to go into the open. This system has to be broken from within. I feel sorry for the players. Years go by, and there are tales of some kind of football development. Unfortunately, in this country, if you just honestly try to do your job, nobody needs it.
It's as if everything is being ruined on purpose - education, the army, sports. But sooner or later all this shantrapa will collapse. A shantrapa that thinks it's smarter than everyone else. Sooner or later, good will triumph over evil," Kalyshin said at the fateful press conference.
