Following the results of the next European Cup matches, Ukraine has worsened its position in the UEFA coefficient table.
We shall remind you that this week Shakhtar Donetsk beat Antwerp (1-0) in the Champions League, while Zorya Luhansk lost to Gent (1-4) in the Conference League. At the same time, the Luhansk side played a postponed match against Maccabi Tel Aviv last Saturday and also lost - 2:3.
As a result, Ukraine dropped one line in the UEFA coefficient table and now occupy 18th place, having missed Israel. The key position in this part of the table is the 15th line: the countries that occupy places 1 to 15 in the table, inclusive, delegate two representatives to the Champions League, not one.
Recall that the final table of UEFA coefficients in the current season will determine the representation of countries in the European Cup season 2025/26. Next season Ukraine, as before, will be represented in the Champions League by two teams.
