Andriy Demchenko, the Ukrainian coach of Dynamo Batumi, who led his club to the Georgian championship, spoke about the interest in him from UPL clubs.
- People in Ukraine are following your success. Have UPL clubs already approached you?
- Yes, after we played in the three qualifying rounds of the European Cups, there were invitations. Three or four clubs were interested in my contractual obligations, I won't say which ones.
- Were they clubs that qualify for European competitions in the UPL?
- Yes, there were.
- What is the likelihood that you will consider such offers?
- As they will be considered, this is normal in modern football. The more offers, the better. You have a choice. I have a contract for two and a half years in Batumi. For this immediate period, my fate is tied to Dynamo.
- Do you have time to follow the UPL? Is it good that there is such a tight fight for the top places in the championship now?
- Of course, just look at Germany. The top ten teams are all in the same place. This shows the high level of the championship. Each team can take points from its opponent. It's the same in England. It's good for Ukraine.
Previously, Dynamo and Shakhtar were fighting, and the rest were fighting for 3-4 places. I think that five teams will be contenders for the championship this season - Polissia, Kryvbas, Dynamo, Shakhtar, Dnipro-1. They have powerful resources. "Chornomorets had stability, but they are shaky, they have failed a bit. But I like Grigorchuk's work.
