Bero in the 72nd minute in an attempt to maintain their advantage. In the 76th minute, Wolfsburg introduced Rogerio and V. Cerny in place of T. Tomas and K. Paredes. However, their efforts were in vain as VfL Bochum continued to dominate the game. In the 81st minute, K. Gamboa received a yellow card and VfL Bochum replaced him with T. Oermann and in the 86th minute, M. Wittek was sent off, increasing the tension. However, their nerves were calmed when K. Antwi-Ajei scored in the 87th minute. To round off the game, K. Schlotterbeck of VfL Bochum received a yellow card in the 90th minute. This exciting match showed the skill and determination of both teams, but in the end VfL Bochum won. Their clinical play and solid defence proved too difficult for Wolfsburg.
