Dnipro-1 goalkeeper Yevhen Volynets commented on his team's 1-2 defeat to Vorskla Poltava in yesterday's match of the 16th round of the Ukrainian championship.
"I don't feel very good. We had a good start, but we are probably a little bit to blame for the game ending with such a scoreline.
We made more adjustments in the dressing room. Both the coaches and players talked to each other about the need to save the match. In the second half, the picture was completely different, but we were unable to at least get back into the game.
Of course, four conceded goals in two games is a lot. But I want to praise Chornomorets, who play well in attack, and even in the minority they caused us problems. However, this is certainly no excuse. Perhaps something broke down a little bit, we made some mistakes, but there is still a game ahead and we will try to be more reliable in defence.
This result means that in the next round we have to go to Zhytomyr to play Polissya and win. We will make every effort to do so, and then we will see how it goes," Volynets said after the match against Vorskla.
