"Shakhtar refused to postpone Metalist 1925's youth team match due to the Kharkiv club's lack of players

The match of the 16th round of the Ukrainian U-19 Championship between Shakhtar Donetsk and Metalist 1925 Kharkiv will not take place.

Before the reporting round, Metalist 1925 U-19 faced a very large number of injured and ill players, which were compounded by the suspensions of Matviy Panchenko and Igor Nogueira.

"Metalist 1925 asked Shakhtar to postpone the match to another date, but was denied. Due to the lack of the number of players required for the game (the inability to comply with the provision of paragraph 4 of Article 6 of Annex 1 of the UPL Competition Regulations for the 2023/24 season), the match on 3 December will not take place.

The further fate of the match of the 16th round of the Ukrainian U-19 Championship of the 2023/24 season Shakhtar vs Metalist 1925 will be decided by the UAF Control and Disciplinary Committee.
