Honorary President of Dnipro-1 Yuriy Bereza commented on the results of Ukrainian clubs in Europe in an interview with the Dniproynik Telegram channel.
- "The failures of Ukrainian clubs in Europe are the result of a system that has been in place for years. I want to remind you of the recent past, when two clubs had two reserve benches or three, two pharmaceutical clubs, and then, of course, it was possible to give good results to individual clubs in Europe and in the world. Then let's have two clubs, and let them argue with each other about who becomes the champion today, who wins the cup, and all the others are amateurs, they work at their main jobs, they got together, lost to Shakhtar, sometimes put up a fight, drew with Dynamo...
Dnipro-1's performances in this season's European competitions are a disgrace that will have to be washed away. If you come out to play, you have to represent the Ukrainian flag, the idea, the country with dignity. If we had fought near Kreminna the way they played football in the summer, what would have happened? This is the main complaint against the guys this season," Bereza said.
