As previously reported, the draw for the 2024/2025 UEFA Nations League will take place on 8 February 2024 in Paris (starting at 19:00 Kyiv time), according to UEFA's Executive Committee.
There will be 16 teams in Divisions A, B and C, and six teams in Division D.
Ukraine is in the second basket of League B and will receive one opponent from the first, third and fourth baskets.
The baskets are formed in accordance with the national teams' rankings following the 2022/2023 Nations League. Russia, the only other UEFA member state, was not allowed to participate in the competition again.
Basket 1: Spain, Croatia, Italy, Netherlands.
Basket 2: Denmark, Portugal, Belgium, Hungary.
Basket 3: Switzerland, Germany, Poland, France.
Basket 4: Israel, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Scotland.
Basket 1: Austria, Czech Republic, England, Wales.
Basket2: Finland, Ukraine, Iceland, Norway.
Basket 3: Slovenia, Ireland, Albania, Montenegro.
Basket 4: Georgia, Greece, Turkey, Kazakhstan.
Basket 1: Romania, Sweden, Armenia, Luxembourg.
Basket 2: Azerbaijan, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Faroe Islands.
Basket 3: North Macedonia, Slovakia, Northern Ireland, Cyprus.
Basket 4: Belarus, Lithuania/Gibraltar, Estonia, Latvia.
Basket 1: Lithuania/Gibraltar, Moldova.
Basket 2: Malta, Andorra, San Marino, Liechtenstein.
In Divisions A, B and C, the participants are divided into four groups of four teams. Division D will have two groups of three teams.
The winners of the League A groups and the second-placed teams will take part in the quarter-final matches of the LAN home and away, and the winners of these matches will qualify for the final four. The teams that take the last places in their quartets will be promoted to Division B.
The teams that take the first places in the groups of divisions B, C and D will be promoted to divisions A, B and C respectively. The teams that take the last places in division B will be promoted to division C. The two worst teams in Division C will be promoted to Division D.
The teams that finish third in League A and third in League B will play in the promotion/relegation play-offs at home and away against the teams that finish second in League B and second in League C, respectively.
Round 1: 5-7 September 2024.
Round 2: 8-10 September 2024.
Round 3: 10-12 October 2024.
Round 4: 13-15 October 2024.
Round 5: 14-16 November 2024.
Round 6: 17-19 November 2024.
Playoffs: 17-25 March 2025.
Final four: 2-10 June 2025.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in the European zone, where 16 tickets will be drawn, will last from March 2025 to March 2026 and will consist of two rounds.
Round 1: 12 groups of five or four teams will play between March and November 2025 in a traditional group system. The 12 group winners will receive direct tickets to the final stage.
The 12 second-place teams and the top four group winners of the UEFA Nations League 2024/2025 who finish below second place in the group stage of European qualification will take part in the butt mini-tournaments.
Round 2: The butt mini-tournaments in March 2026 will consist of one-match semi-finals and finals. The 16 participants will be divided into four playoff paths. The four winners will receive tickets to the 2026 World Cup.
