Sevilla and Villarreal battled it out in a tense match at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in La Liga. The score was 0-0 at half-time and both teams had no way of breaking the deadlock. The game suddenly came to life, causing the fans to cheer. Both teams continued to fight for the winning goal, but in the 84th minute Villarreal made two more substitutions. D. Parejo and A. Moreno were removed from the game, making way for F. Coquelin and I. Ahomac. The last substitution for Villarreal took place in the 87th minute: J.L. Morales replaced B. Brereton Diaz. In the 90th minute, Sevilla also made a substitution: Fernando came on in place of O. Torres. However, the match was not without controversy: in the 90th minute, Villarreal's goal was cancelled due to a foul committed by B. Brereton Diaz. Brereton Diaz. In the last minute of the match, Sevilla player I. Rakitic received a yellow card, and in the end both teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. Despite scoring chances and making substitutions, neither side was able to win the game.
