Everton's Ukrainian defender Vitaliy Mykolenko said what he thinks about his game and scoring goals for the club.
Vitaly Mikolenko"The beginning of the season was difficult for me. Because of the injury I did not train with my team, and it was hard. In September I left with the national team and played normally, but importantly I had two matches of 90 minutes under my belt. After the injury my first match was the meeting of the Ukraine national team with the England national team, and it was not easy. And three days later I played against Italy. All this was a difficult experience for me from a physical point of view. But when I returned to the club, I started to play steadily.
My goals? I'm happy to help my teammates by scoring goals, but now I really want to add more assists to my game. I haven't worked specifically on scoring goals, but I always try to attack more, now I'm in full form. And when you are fit you can run a lot more.
We haven't had good enough results at home yet, but I hope we can change that soon. At Everton I feel like a family. My team-mates help me every day. We win together and we lose together. And I want us to try to win every match, no matter where it takes place," Mikolenko said in a comment to Everton's official website.
