Well-known journalist Serhiy Tyshchenko commented on the successful performances of Zhytomyr's Polissya in the Ukrainian championship.
"If it wasn't for the refereeing, Polissia would have had a "wow" effect in Ukraine.
- Since the first season, they have shown very good results at the UPL level. We didn't lose to either Dynamo or Shakhtar. In Zhytomyr, only one team has ever won - Rukh;
- Yuriy Kalytyntsev is doing a great job. His personal relationship with the owner Butkevych plays an important role. Yuriy Mykolayovych has my full trust. Maximov was removed so that a potential successor would not be hanging around.
- Kalitvintsev has demonstrated excellent selection. Almost all the players have really strengthened the team. Arienlson and Macuana were one of the discoveries of the championship. Dynamo and Shakhtar would hardly have given up on these players. The progress of Smolyakov, who has already rightly grown up to the youth national team of Ukraine.
- Kalytvintsev is showing the ability to work with downed pilots. Shabanov did not play for six months after Hungary. Chobotenko was not needed by Dynamo and Shakhtar, and showed little at Kolos. Now they are one of the best pairs of defenders in the league. Tankovskyi has shown his worth. Slava made me remember why he was called Fred's successor. Boyko is a monster," Serhiy wrote on Facebook.
