The story of the Minaj vs Dynamo match is deja vu from a year ago

The TaToTake telegram channel recalled the case of how a UPL match in Uzhhorod last season was interrupted and postponed due to a prolonged alarm and lack of lighting at the Avangard Stadium.

"It's a bit forgotten, but on 23 November last year, due to a prolonged alarm and lack of lighting at the Avangard Stadium, Dnipro-1's match against Oleksandriya was interrupted and postponed in the 14th minute.

Then the nominal guests, having spent money on travel, accommodation and food, went home with the understanding that they would have to return to Uzhhorod for the same purpose. On the way, the train with Oleksandriya's full squad was on the rails due to a system blackout, and some of the players had to take hitchhikes to Kyiv.

Hence the thesis that stadiums such as Avangard (a municipally owned arena where Minaj played before the outbreak of full-scale war) and Minaj can be certified for the UPL level only in wartime.

In this regard, the example of another municipal stadium, the LNZ arena, which had very poor lighting, is illustrative, but the club's management installed new high-quality lighting before applying for licensing to the UAF as a UPL club. Although, Cherkasy still needs to improve the heating," the statement said.
