Oleh Fedorchuk: "Rotan and his group of young assistants did not pull their weight"

Famous Ukrainian coach Oleg Fedorchuk told us what he thinks about Oleksandriya's poor performance in the current Ukrainian championship (13th place after 13 matches).

"Ruslan Rotan's coaching staff was hampered by an excessive workload when they had to work with both the Ukrainian youth team and the club. Figuratively speaking, Rotan and his group of young assistants took on more than their weight...

In addition, there were salary delays at Oleksandriya, which also had a negative impact on the team. Keep in mind that this is no longer the same Oleksandriya that it used to be. This is actually a youth team.

First of all, the club's management needs patience. I believe that changing the coach will not do anything for Oleksandriya at the moment, it will not radically improve anything. We must also take into account the fact that the last matches Oleksandriya played well. Pay attention to the examples of other clubs. "Rukh was actually in a pit last season, but now it is among the best teams in the UPL, and, as you can see, has good prospects.

Remember also Polissia, who did not shine in the first league, and it seemed that when they got into the elite company, they would quickly go down. But the management of the Zhytomyr club demonstrated the much-needed patience and professional prudence, allowing Yuriy Kalitvintsev and his coaching staff to work in peace. Now Polissia is among the leaders of the UPL and has championship ambitions.

However, there is one very important "but": in Europe, none of the coaches combine their work at the club with their work in the national team. It is a taboo there. So, in this regard, Oleksandriya must also draw conclusions," Footboom quotes Fedorchuk as saying.
