Today is rich in birthdays of personalities who have linked their lives with football. It is worth noting that most of the birthday celebrants on 8 December are very familiar to Ukrainian fans:

Yuri Maximov

Oleksandr Berezhnoi (1957) - Ukrainian defender, played for Dynamo Kyiv and Tavriya Simferopol. He played 14 matches for the USSR national team. Defending the colours of the "white blues" once won the Union Championship and won the Cup of the country.

Les Ferdinand (1966) - former English footballer. He is best known for his performances for English clubs Queens Park Rangers, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as for the England national team. He became the first footballer to score goals for 6 different clubs in the English Premier League. He currently holds the position of sporting director of CRC.

Yuriy Maksimov (1968) is a former Ukrainian footballer, midfielder. Former coach of Vorskla. He played for the Ukrainian national team, in which he played 27 matches (5 goals). At the end of 1997 he signed a 3.5-year agreement with Bremen Werder, where he played together with his compatriot Viktor Skrypnyk. Currently he is the head of Dnipro-1.
