Yuriy Maksymov: "A coach must win every match - that's the task at hand. But it doesn't happen that way"

Dnipro-1 head coach Yurii Maksymov commented on his side's 1-1 draw with Zhytomyr's Polissia in yesterday's match of the 17th round of the Ukrainian Premier League.

"The score is the score, but the guys played well and tried their best on the pitch, gave their all, and I am very grateful to them for that. In general, I thanked the guys for the last games. Everything happens, but the guys try and that's the most important thing. I have no questions to my players.

Why did you fail to get a winning score? This is football. Today, as they say, the weather was not summer, but the guys tried, controlled the ball, tried to save it, and in the episode with the missed goal, the ball just had to be knocked out, and then the score was 1-0. We wanted to take control of the ball. That was the football today.

It's not for me to evaluate my work, it's always the club's management that does that. The coach must win every match - that's the task, but it doesn't happen that the team wins every match," Maksymov said.
