At the same minute, R. Cherchi was introduced into the game, replacing D. Moreira. As the match progressed, tension grew, which led to a yellow card for A. Donnum of Toulouse in the 63rd minute.
In the 67th minute Lyon made two more substitutions: E. Nuama replaced T. Cadevera and K. Tolisso replaced M. Diawara. M. Diawara of Lyon was in the referee's book in the 68th minute, having received a yellow card for a flagrant offence. Toulouse also made a substitution, releasing G. Suazo and I. Sissoko instead of M. In the 80th minute Lacazette completed his hat-trick, again hitting the net and sealing the victory for his team. In the 83rd minute, Toulouse made their final substitutions, bringing on A. Donnum, S. Spierings and F. Magri, while Lyon brought on D. Lovren. As the game entered its final minutes, tensions rose and in the 87th minute, Lyon's D. Moreira received a yellow card. In the end, Lyon's impressive skill and determination proved too much for Toulouse, resulting in a convincing 3-0 victory for the hosts. This victory further cemented Lyon's reputation as a formidable force in Ligue 1. With their attacking prowess and solid defence, they continue to see themselves as title contenders. On the other hand, Toulouse need to regroup and analyse their game in order to bounce back in the coming matches.
